By choice, I don't belong to any professional dealer organizations or societies.

My reason is simple...

I'm extremely independent, outspoken and controversial.

To get along in these organizations you have to be willing to go along. I've never been willing to look the other way or ignore obvious conflicts of interest that can occur in these entities - so I don't join.

When I was the Editor of The Silver & Gold Report I really riled the dealer community many times with my stories on dealer fraud and abuse.

Bottom line: I want to always be 100% free to tell my clients the truth and to point out the minefields. I don't work for dealers, I work for investors and collectors.

I am a member of several collector organizations among which include the American Numismatic Association and Florida United Numismatists.
